The hunt sponsored by National Whitetail Warrior Project was more than just a hunting opportunity. It was an opportunity to connect with fellow veterans that have sacrificed so much; that connection is priceless. The smiles, the laughs, and the emotions through the connections were simply priceless. The accommodations at Willow Oak Lodge were absolutely top notch, but the most meaningful memory was a feeling of sincere appreciation from those associated with the lodge, and the other hunters in camp. It really provided a sense of both sincere gratitude and much needed emotional fulfillment. I am forever grateful for the opportunity, the connections and healing, and the opportunity to spend time with wonderful people.
